Did you know the average tenure of CASTO associates is more than 10 years? At CASTO people are our most important asset! We pride ourselves on a culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, and growth.

Meet Megan Height, Manager of Property Operations in Columbus, Ohio. Since Megan began her career at CASTO nearly twenty years ago, she has had the opportunity to work with many different teams across different departments. She is now an integral part of our Commercial Property Management team and assists in the day-to-day operations of properties in the greater Columbus area.

Hear from Megan on her CASTO story and what makes her a vital part of #TeamCASTO:

I interviewed for a part-time position as an intern working for the Lease Analyst Department under Jodi Sine. I was so grateful for the opportunity to start something new and something that I could hopefully grow into a career. I didn’t put huge expectations on it but was happy for a “foot in the door” to show what I could do. That was 18 years ago, and I have been with CASTO ever since.

My original task was pulling hard copy invoices from file cabinets and matching them to their line items on the Property General Ledgers so they could be scanned into a digital format! A few months into my internship, CASTO hired me full time as a General Office Assistant/Floater to assist in various departments and projects. I did everything from covering the front desk to pulling invoices until everything was digitized to labeling and transferring documents. I also remember working with HR to go to Easton Storage and prep old documentation to be shredded, and basically whatever else was needed of me in whatever department needed assistance on a project.

After about a year I was given the opportunity to interview and was promoted to the position of Property Management Assistant in the Commercial Property Management department. It was exciting to be in a single role that I could take and make my own. I have worked with just about every Commercial Property Manager in the department, and I liked to jump on any special projects that I could as those were always great learning experiences and I wanted to learn everything I could!

I am currently Manager of Property Operations and handle the training and onboarding of the Property Coordinators, and still assist Armand Mastropietro and Julie Engle with their day to property operations as well. As technology opportunities have advanced my role has also shifted to include working closely with Armand Mastropietro and the Innovations and Operations teams in conjunction with IT to update old processes and leverage new technology.

I am so grateful to CASTO for allowing me all the opportunities to grow, learn, and then share what I have learned with old and new team members. This company has supported me, and I am still so very grateful for each opportunity I have been given to advance. I try to keep the attitude that no matter how far I go, there is no task that is beneath me. I love continuing to learn each day and continuing to figure out how we can make things easier to keep CASTO moving forward.
