Associate Spotlight: Jill Pyles

At CASTO, our associates are the heart of everything we do. In this month’s associate spotlight, we want to introduce you to one of the newer members of our team, Jill Pyles. Jill is an essential part of the Commercial Leasing and Development team in our Ohio office and has been instrumental to major projects including representing our team at this year’s ICSC shows and coordinating our rollout of a new Salesforce CRM.  

Hear from Jill on her role and what makes CASTO such a special place to work: 

Tell us about your background with CASTO.  
I am newer to the CASTO team as I started about a year and a half ago. My role is the Retail Leasing Coordinator on the Commercial Leasing and Development team.   

What do you like best about CASTO?  
CASTO culture is different from any company I have been a part of; it is centered around the people and creating a positive environment to grow in. I absolutely love my team and being able to work collaboratively.  

What project have you liked working on the most while at CASTO?  
My role at CASTO allows me to be a part of a lot of different projects, and that is one of the best parts of my role. Everyday looks different and brings an exciting opportunity to learn something new.  

Share a little bit about your expertise in the industry.  
As I am new to the CASTO team I am really learning every day more and more about the industry. Luckily, I am surrounded by experts!  

What changes or trends do you see happening in your area of expertise?  
In the commercial leasing space, as vacancy is low and construction costs increase, we are seeing a lot of tenants becoming more flexible on location, space size, and additional requirements that typically might have been “deal breakers” on their list. This allows us to structure a creative deal to make the economics work and get tenants in space that is very limited in the Central Ohio market.
